Indian army pipe bands, pre 1947

I want to paint a pipe band of a Sikh regiment, either Rattrays, the Ludihana Sikhs or the Freozepor Sikhs. Any suggestions as to drum blazes or tartans?

Carman's book on Indian Infantry has references to pipe bands and tartans but is sketchy. I've got some Clothing Regs that may have a bit, I'll look for them shortly.
