Rumanian Ranks 1970's
Here's an attempt at the Rumanian Army/Airforce ranks for the 1970's.
As far as I'm aware,Military Masters are more or less senior warrant officers.

Regards
WF

Excellent job Bill! [as always]
Do you know if they had a subdued variation for use on the operational uniform? I know that the Soviets and the East Germans (DDR/German Democratic Republic) did at least from the 1980s onwards.

Rumanian Ranks
The field uniform had the same colour insignia as the uniform, although according to Friedrich Wiener's Uniforms of the Warsaw Pact, walking uniform insignia was usually worn instead of the subdued badges.
The main source was Wiener's Uniforms of the Warsaw Pact along with Soldiers of the Cold War, with the added translation problems.
There are a few minor differences between illustration in each source such as the design of staff officers lace, that could be explained by personnel preference, time scale for implementation of new lace or simply artistic licence.

Rumanian Army Ranks 47 to 67
Here's an attempt at the Rumanian ranks from the end of WWII to the late 1960's.
Russian in style, attempted to show subdued for Major General and Lieutenant..
The first group of nco ranks are for the period from WWII until around 1960,
Second group is for the remaining period up to 1967.
