Russian Occupation Police China 1901 identification needed.

Hi Guys,
Help needed to identify the unit in this photo.

Showing Russian troops with Chinese Auxiliaries. The title states they are 'Russian Chinese Police' taken in Teintsin, China after the Boxer Risings and during the period of occupation, so between 1901 amd 1905.

The Russians on the right of the picture are clearly wearing breast badges, which could indicate their Police status in keeping with current practice and if you look closely you will see that the Chinese troops are also wearing the same badge.

So question time;
1. Are the Russians MILITARY POLICE or STATE POLICE working under one of the many MINISTRY OF THE ? like the latter NKVD, etc.
2. What does the breast badge look like, anybody got a good photo showing one.
3. Any ideas on the colours of the chinese uniforms.

Any help is appreciated.

Best Regards,
Les
