French Foriegn Legion 1940 Vichy Regime

Hi,
This is a nice clear colour picture of a member of the famous 'French Foriegn Legion' on guard outside his base somewhere in North Africa.
Aparently taken in 1940 this would mean that he is one of those caught up in the change in government and now working for the Vichy Regime. He is obviously with the desert patrol.
