The Australian Army Band Corps provided a permanent band to RMC Duntroon.
They wore the standard Band parade uniform with an additional red aiguillette, differing patterns for drummers.

MUSICIANS/DRUMMER OF RMC

Post  drummajor51 on Tue 14 Apr 2009, 5:59 pm

A very good picture of the Drum Major and Drummer of the RMC It well illustrates the uniforms of this personnel The sash worn by the Drum Major would certainly in British and Commonwealth Units be decorated with devices singular to the unit concerned including a selection of Battle Honours if applicable These gents do not wear the "Wings" usually worn by musicians. A device usally worn on the lower sleeve or above the chevrons if applicable is a "lyre" for musicians a "drum" for the Corps of Drums or a set of pipes for the pipers where applicable A point of interest is the gradual reduction of lace on full dress uniforms from virtually all button holes to along sleeves only which can help in ageing at least British Guards Full Dress Uniforms
